Teal Tuesday – black and white combo

It’s TT black and white today!! Ok I had to be the odd one out and added a spot of red…on top of the black and white. Hehee

I used Barielle’s End of the rainbow as a base. This is really sheer so this is four coats. I then topped it with All That Glitter’s Hole Hearted and Spottie Dottie Rosie. Hole Hearted is not the easiest to handle so I used the dabbing method to ensure I get a heart on each nail.

Purple burple bling

Hi Lovelies!
Ok my absolute fave color is purple, so most purples I don’t miss. I have here today an interesting combo. Check it out!

I used Orly’s cashmere cardigan as a based and topped it with All that glitter’s purple haze.

Orly’s brush and formula is always a breeze to work with. Let me talk more about ATG’s purple haze, its got all the elements I LOVE. It’s got purple, it’s got bling and my super fave square glitter!!! I did not have to fish any glitters and it was easy to spread the glitter around my nails.
Would you try this combination? Hope you guys try and share it with me. 🙂

Apple jelly sandwich

Hi lovelies. Received some really bad news this evening and I needed a really bright mani to cheer me up.
I have here The Nail Junkie’s apple green shimmer. It’s been sitting in my helmer for a long while and I have been wanting to swatch this for ages. It’s a cool jelly bright apple green. Reminds me so much of those sour apple candies that I love 🙂
I used three layers and topped it with one layer of ATG’s spotty dotty white. And then one more later of apple green to complete the jelly sandwich.

Application –
For The base, THJ’s formula is really nice and ‘jelly-ish’. The holo’s pretty subtle and shines thru nicely. I love it that the polish does not have that strong smell that most polishes have. And I adore the ‘squishy,jelly-ish’ effect of this polish (did I mention that jelly is my fave food?).
I decided to top this with ATG’s spotty dotty white. This was really easy to work with for a glitter polish. It has matt white glitter in all sorts of shapes and sizes. The base is slightly thick but that makes it easier to scoop the glitters out as it is suspended instead of sinking to the base.

French Roast anyone?

Hi dear lovelies! A very good end of week (yippee! Weekend coming real soon!)
Ok today I give you Cirque’s French Roast topped with ATG’s Spottie Dottie Goldie. Both are bought from The ever wonderful Mei Mei from Mei Mei Signatures

Cirque’s French Roast is a really interesting polish. I have never owned anything near to it. It’s very densely packed with subtle copper, gold and some red glitter. The first few coats really feels like grinded coffee grains on your nails but hang in there, after three or four coats, you will get the coverage.

I topped this up with two coats of seche, as with all glitter polish, it dries gritty and the glitter will not come thru properly without a good topcoat.

There is a nice aroma oil kind of smell after you apply the polish and that’s a bonus instead of normal nail polish strong pong *^^*

As you probably figure by now, I am not a one color polish kinda gal. I like to top up or play with nail art. So for added interest, I topped this manicure with ATG spotty Dottie gold.

I LOVE glitter and the bigger the better! Unfortunately, it’s not easy to work with large glitter. I do not have any problem picking the large glitter up but it needs a bit of work to distribute the glitter evenly thru out the nail. I also experienced mild curling BUT nothing two good coats of Seche won’t solve. I think the bling compensates for the tricky application in this case 🙂

Grasshopper concert nails

Hi there! TGIF!
Today I have for you M&Ms nails in glitter. A different color for each finger and with bling. I was simply so excited to get my order of the new collection of ATG that I can’t wait to try them out! I totally forgot that I had a grasshopper concert to go to today. And how can I not do a set of totally OTT nails match their OTT show? Heheh. For those who are not familiar with Asian pop, the grasshoppers are possibly the first techno/disco boy band in the late 80s early 90s. I remembered their very first appearance in Singapore when I was attending secondary school. I am a giant fan of Anita Mui (their mentor) and naturally I got to check them out as they were her back up dancers then. It’s amazing that till this day, their energy on stage is exactly the same! Really high and great dancing and singing skills. Love it.
Anyway this is the MV that inspired me to do this manicure.
