Smurfy blue

Hi dearies! On to the nail stuff.
Check out this limited edition colour from Girly Bits – Smurf Dance.

I don’t have that many blue shades in my collection cos I always thought its not an easy colour to wear but check out this glitter bomb! I applied this over one coat of light holo blue so I dont have to apply too many coats of Smurf Dance (saving it since its LE). It’s got an assortment of holo, Matt and bling glitter packed in to one neat bottle of polish. I can’t help but stare at my nails all the time cos it’s such a blingy and pretty shade. No application issues whatsoever, in fact I didn’t even dab any glitter on my nail. No fishing needed. Overall a must buy for all you glitter and holo lovers out there. I got mine from mei mei signatures and she ships worldwide. Hurry cos it’s a limited edition and once all sold out it will not be replenished.
Wat do you all think of this shade?
Thanks for reading and I would love to hear from you! 🙂

Spotted tie dye

Hi lovelies! I have something super duper special for you guys today. Some time back Annette from shoppe eclecticcooffered fast fingers Facebook friends an opportunity to get the super exclusive released only in Europe Opi Spotted! Of course I jumped at the opportunity to grab it.
Trust me I was like Gollum from LOTR wrapping my hands around the precious bottle muttering ‘my precioussssssss’ when I received it.
Check it out!

I had initially wanted to layer this over a gradation of red, blue, yellow and green. This didn’t work cos the gradation could not be seen. So note to self, use just one base colour for this baby.
Application was slightly tricky cos it works best when it’s applied very thinly. I mean really thin, brush against the bottle twice thin.
The end result looks amazing, it’s spot on for a tie dye look. I would love to try this mani in another color combo but it’s so precious I need to think about a great color base…
Once again Annette has confirmed she is indeed my nail polish fairy godmother 🙂 thanks Annette!!
Hope you all like this combo and thanks for reading!

Hi dearies, I am on a roll for DDP! Today i have for you Bazinga! What a apt name for this polish. It’s multi glitter in all sorts of shapes and colors suspended in a jelly white base. Lovely.
On with the pics –

Sorry about the photospam but I really wanted to show you how many types of bling is in that one polish. Yeah ALOT!

Check out the glitters in the bottle!
The formula for this is slightly thick and brush is not the easiest to handle. You need a bit of practice to get it right. Also, this is quite sheer. I did five coats and topped it with CG speed dry top coat.
What do you think?

OL bling!

Hi lovelies! Apologies for the late post. I was away on vacay and came back sick! 😦
Anyway on with the nail stuff!
The title of my post is OL bling, OL stands for office lady i.e. office worker. This is a term used pretty much in our parts originating in Japan.
Anyway, pics here-

This is such a work appropriate polish and yet it does not lose its bling! It’s a neutral brown beige base with hexs in holo, maroon and green suspended within. Application is again a breeze and not necessary to dig for the bling. Looks very much like a jelly sandwich don’t you think?

Tex Mex flavor

Hi sweets! Happy weekend! Thought I will post my holidays mani before I fly off today for Bangkok (yay!)
Anyway, on to the nail stuff! So excited about this one cos I won two bottles of Megan Miller from the recent photo contest organized by Mei Mei Signatures and Megan Miller. I choose coral bliss, a lovely coral and velvet lounge, a dark purple.
I have for you coral bliss today.

This is 2 coats with 1 layer of seche. This color reminds me so much of the tex mex flavor so I stuck some turquoise bling on it to bring out that Mexican Texan flavor (ok blue bling cos I ran out of turquoise bling :p). I gotta try this with turquoise stamping next time.
The formula is great! Covers in two coats even though it’s not very thick. The thing about opaque color which I totally do not dig is that it’s crazy hard to handle. It’s either too thick and hard to handle or it’s so thin you need many coats. This is pretty good and easy to handle for me. And check out that cute bottle! The cork top is so easy to hold almost ergonomic! Hehe. What do you think?
Megan Miller can be bought from Mei mei signatures or check out the Megan Millerhere!

Darling Diva Polish – Reef Fish

Hi Sweets! I am so excited to show you reef fish from DDP today. I ordered this sometime back and have been looking forward to this nail mail ever since. Check out the bottle.

It’s packed with hex, squares of assorted colors suspended in a green jelly base.
Does really remind me of coral reefs, diving and color coral fishes and all.
Check out the polish on nails.

There is so much glitter in this polish I did not have to fish for it at all. This is two and a half coats cos I used the dabbing method. I used one coat of Étude House metallic teal blue as a base to bring out the coral reef/diving/sea theme. Considering that there is so much glitter, I did not experience much curling.
Overall this had got to be one of my fave glitter polishes. Jam packed with glitter, good application – what’s not to love?
As with all glitters I used three coats of too coat to create that gems suspended on cabachon look.
What do you all think? 🙂

Teal Tuesday! My CG nightmare

Hi sweets! It’s Teal Tuesday again (technically its Wednesday cos I am late again).

It’s free style tuesday and we did a vote on the more popular colors that we have. Anyway China Glaze’s Atlantis is on the list and I have been wanting to try this baby for a while now.

What a problem child this is!!! Absolute nightmare. It was gloopy, really thick and generally hard to work with. The color is a lovely shimmering teal with holo hex suspended in a teal jelly base.

I did this freehand half moon and stuck some shimmer tiny sequins and a crystal in the middle for each finger. Very bling and princess-y.

Love how the effect came out. Shame about the formula though. What do you think?

Please do check out the other wonderful blogs from our Teal Tueaday group below! ^^
