Hi Lovelies! Happy midweek 🙂
To celebrate the launch of Darling Diva Polish in mei meishop, I have decided to swatch DDP today 🙂
Check it out!
I used a baby blue base and topped it with two thin coats of Unicorn Bath. I love the name! Unicorn bath is quite sheer and requires a bit of dabbing to get the bling on but no biggie. It’s made out if large pieces of royal blue, white and holo hexes suspended in a very very light blue jelly base. There are also very very fine slight pinkish shimmer worked in to the base that gives this polish a very subtle bling effect.
What do you all think? I think I will try a pink base with this and see how this combo works for my next mani.
Thanks for reading and till the next time keep polishing! 🙂
Hi girlies! Holothon post 2. Today I have something really sweet and bitchy – no pun intended. I used The Nail Junkie’s grape jelly as a base and topped it with ….. Wait for it ….. Darling Diva Polish’s Bitch Panties ( the name really gives me the giggles).
I want to talk about the grape jelly from TNJ. It’s a grape jelly with tiny holo flakes in it. The holo bits tend to sink to the bottom of the bottle so a good roll helps.
It applies really easily and you can see tiny holo flakies. This color reminds me of grape icing on top of a super sweet sticky donut. Haha!
Now for the bitchy topper, it’s a holographic lavender grey. Texture wise it’s just right and cos its quite sheer, you can apply a couple of coats without covering up the base color.
Sorry about the photo spam, I can’t quite decide if this is scattered or linear holo. Maybe I will try to take some more pics under the sun tomorrow. But isn’t it pretty? Wonder why it’s named bitch panties…. What do you guys think?
The lovely ladies at inky polish started a Holothon October to put the spotlight on holos. I ordered a few Darling Diva Polish last month and have been wanting to swatch it for a while. Check it out!
The name of this polish really gives me the giggles, but it’s so apt! It’s loud, bling and not at all subtle. Like a bling bling stripper pole ( as if I have ever seen one. :p).
Stripper pole is a gold linear holo with holo golden hex in various sizes. It’s a real dream to apply but it can be quite sheer. This is four coats. I love the holo base on holo hex effect. What do you think?
Hi dearies, I am on a roll for DDP! Today i have for you Bazinga! What a apt name for this polish. It’s multi glitter in all sorts of shapes and colors suspended in a jelly white base. Lovely.
On with the pics –
Sorry about the photospam but I really wanted to show you how many types of bling is in that one polish. Yeah ALOT!
Check out the glitters in the bottle!
The formula for this is slightly thick and brush is not the easiest to handle. You need a bit of practice to get it right. Also, this is quite sheer. I did five coats and topped it with CG speed dry top coat.
What do you think?
Hi lovelies! Apologies for the late post. I was away on vacay and came back sick! 😦
Anyway on with the nail stuff!
The title of my post is OL bling, OL stands for office lady i.e. office worker. This is a term used pretty much in our parts originating in Japan.
Anyway, pics here-
This is such a work appropriate polish and yet it does not lose its bling! It’s a neutral brown beige base with hexs in holo, maroon and green suspended within. Application is again a breeze and not necessary to dig for the bling. Looks very much like a jelly sandwich don’t you think?
